
Dr. Carmela Pepe

Topic: Pulmonary toxicities of novel anti-cancer drugs
Dr. Pepe completed her medical degree at Université Laval in Quebec City in 1999, followed by Internal Medicine and Respirology training at McGill University, which she completed in 2005. She then went on to do a Lung Cancer Fellowship at Princess Margaret Hospital at the University Health Network in Toronto in 2005-2006. Dr. Pepe has been on staff at the Jewish General Hospital since 2007 where she has a practice in general pulmonary medicine. In addition, Dr Pepe plays an active role in asthma clinical trials in the JGH Airways Centre, and is the teaching supervisor for residents and Fellows in Respirology rotations at the Jewish General Hospital. However, Dr Pepe’s primary area of interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, including participation in clinical trials using novel targeted therapies and immunotherapy.
